CONFERENCE OVERVIEW

The 2009 CPEAV Commonwealth Land Use and Zoning Conference will feature numerous exceptional and timely learning opportunities on October 11, 12 and 13. These important opportunities will be clustered by topic and subject matter. The "clusters of learning topics" for the 2009 Conference will again include needed cutting edge "nuts and bolts" offerings relating to the current needs of citizen planners, locality staff and citizens alike. As an Attendee you will have opportunities to choose from among a list of over a dozen and a half sessions, each led by an excellent presenter who is a professional in the subject field. You will find yourself in a comfortable and beautiful, but affordable, setting providing an outstandingly productive learning environment including opportunities to visit "community planning success stories" either as part of a group or by yourself at your personal pace. If this isn't enough to entice you to attend, you will long remember the excellent food prepared and presented in a manner that can only be described as sustenance for the soul and body and candy for the eyes.

FEATURED SPEAKERS

CPEAV is pleased to state that we look forward to again being able to announce in the near future that our very knowledgeable friends from our sponsoring firms will again be participating in our Annual Conference and sharing their wisdom and guidance. We will keep you advised via this page as we continue to complete the details of our 2009 Conference planning. Rest assured that we are redoubling our efforts to design and provide the very best and most affordable training bargain possible at this time for both elected and appointed planning officials as well as their supporting staff persons at this time of financial distress. As soon as we are able to complete and release details of our program, we will do so and trust you will find attendance an absolute necessity that will enable you to successfully assist your community to remain "planning competitive and economically viable." We sincerely believe that "to fail to plan" is to "plan to fail" and that to be successful in this competitive period, our leaders and decision makers must have and know how best to use the newest and sharpest "cutting edge" planning tools.

There will, of course, be other speakers and topics we will be announcing when arrangements have been completed. We are looking forward to having many excellent and very experienced speakers with us in October. Please "stay in touch" with us through this page and we will travel the "Conference Road" together.
